Advertiser Disclosure
KeystoneRates Ltd. ("KeystoneRates," "we," "us," or "our") operates an independent comparison and information service for certificates of deposit (CDs) offered by third-party, FDIC-insured banks and financial institutions.
How we make money
KeystoneRates is free to use. We are compensated by the banks and financial institutions featured on our site. We may receive a commission, referral fee, or other payment when you:
- click on a listing or link to a partner institution;
- submit an enquiry or lead form; or
- open an account with an institution we have referred you to.
How compensation affects what you see
The compensation we receive may influence which products are displayed, the order in which they appear, and how prominently they are featured. We do not review or list every CD product available in the marketplace, and the offers shown may not represent all products available to you.
Compensation never changes the rate, terms, or price you receive from a bank. The APY and conditions you are offered are set by the issuing institution, not by KeystoneRates.
Accuracy of rates
We make reasonable efforts to keep the APYs and other product details shown on our site accurate and current as of the date displayed. However, rates change frequently and without notice. Always verify the current rate, minimum deposit, penalties, and terms directly with the issuing bank before opening any account.
Not financial advice
KeystoneRates is not a bank, broker, or financial, tax, or legal advisor. We do not offer, broker, or originate certificates of deposit. The information on our site is provided for general comparison purposes only and is not personalized advice. You should consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.
Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
KeystoneRates Ltd. ("KeystoneRates," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website keystonerates.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit the Site or submit information through our forms. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
Personal information you provide
When you complete a lead or enquiry form, we collect personal information you voluntarily submit, which may include your name, email address, telephone number, intended investment amount, and investment timeframe.
Usage data
We automatically collect certain information about how you access and use the Site, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, referring URLs, and time spent on pages.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure performance, and support marketing. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect Site functionality. Where required by law, we will request your consent for non-essential cookies.
3. How we use your information
- To provide CD rate comparisons and respond to your enquiries;
- To connect you with third-party financial institutions and partners that may offer products relevant to you;
- To contact you, and to enable our partners to contact you, about CD products (see Section 4);
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and our services;
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share your information
We may share your information with:
- Financial institutions and lead buyers — to match you with CD products and so they can contact you about their offers;
- Service providers — vendors who help us operate the Site, host data, send communications, and analyze usage, under contractual confidentiality obligations;
- Legal and safety — where required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of KeystoneRates, our users, or others; and
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
5. Marketing communications and consent
By submitting a form and checking the consent box, you authorize KeystoneRates and its partners to contact you at the phone number and email you provide — including by automated telephone dialing systems, prerecorded or artificial voice messages, text/SMS messages, and email — regarding CD and related financial products. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Standard message and data rates may apply to text messages. You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link, and out of text messages by replying STOP. Note that once your information has been shared with a third-party partner, that partner's own privacy practices and opt-out procedures will apply to their communications, and you may need to contact them directly.
6. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, including to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting requirements and to maintain records of consent. When no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. Data security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to opt out of certain sharing or "sales" of personal information, and to limit certain uses. United States state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended) may apply to you.
Your choices regarding sharing: Because we share information with partners as part of our service, you may have the right to opt out. To exercise any privacy right, contact us using the details in Section 11. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
